Description

Floor germinated and dried over straw and iron wood. This is a truly lost style of enzymatic base malt. The grain is dried quickly with high temperatures to recreate this historic malt. This process was used to make the first Porters up until the drum roaster was invented. Enzyme efficiency will be lower than most base malt but is an excellent base to make a variety of traditional English ales.
